Bank of Communications Co. Ltd. was founded in 1908 and is among the oldest banks in China. It is a Fortune 500 Company and became the first China based commercial bank to be listed outside of the Chinese mainland on the Shanghai Stock Exchange in 2007.
Bank of Communication Co. Ltd opened its first representative office in Sydney on July 28, 2009. It received its Foreign bank Branch License on October 13, 2011 from the Australian Prudential Regulation Authority and opened its first branch in Sydney on 28 November 2011. The bank greatly focuses on strengthening ties between China and Australia and since then China has become the largest trading partner of Australia and it is continuously growing in trade, investment, education and tourism segments.
The bank offers a number of products and services that include commercial banking, securities services, trust services, financial leasing, fund management, insurance and offshore financial services, trade finance solutions, global remittances and international settlement, corporate lending, foreign exchange and custom advisory services to wholesale clients.
